French Language Solutions Pty Ltd was established in 1998 by Olivier Richard, a seasoned French translator, interpreter and subtitler operating in Sydney since 1990. Over the last twelve years, he has rendered French translation services to many national and international organisations, both public and private. Among these are United Nations bodies, State and Federal departments, sports organisations, high-tech companies, research centres and universities. To meet growing demand without sacrificing quality, he has established partnerships with other experienced French translators while broadening the range of services offered to include desktop and web publishing.Principles
All activity is guided by the principles of the Code of Ethics of the Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators (AUSIT), in particular as they relate to:
- confidentiality - non disclosure of information
- competence - in the language and subject material concerned
- accuracy - in terms of meaning, style and terminology
- professional development - through ongoing training, reading of specialised publications, evaluation and acquisition of new tools and resources, etc.
